Technical working group meeting for medical equipment survey

Six Technical Working group meetings were held in total, during which the group members provided technical input and supported the coordination, oversight, advice, and decision-making regarding all major aspects of the survey.

  1. First Technical Working Group meeting- The first TWG meeting was held at the Department of Health Services (DoHS) on the 9th of October 2023, chaired by Dr Sarbesh Sharma, Director, DoHS. A detailed project implementation plan was presented by Anjali Tibrewal on behalf of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in JV with Zenith Surgical and Services Pvt. Ltd. A Few comments have been received as below:
  • In the survey tool, it was also suggested to include the equipment’s pricing
  • It was advised to take consent from the hospital focal person prior survey in any health facilities.
  • It was advised to do pretest in Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku.

2. Second Technical working group meeting- The second TWG meeting has been held at department of Health services (DoHS) on 29th of December 2023, chaired by Dr Sarbesh Sharma, Director, DoHS. A detail project progress along with the pretest and digital tool has been presented by the team of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in JV with Zenith Surgical and Services Pvt. Ltd. Few comments has been received as below:

  • In the survey tool, it is suggested to put functionality status of the equipment in a more specified way.
  • It is advised to do the early dissemination workshop of Sudurpaschim once the survey completed.
  • A core working group of 7-10 members from DoHS has been made to discuss any issues related the project prior the TWG meeting.

3. Third Technical working group meeting- The Third TWG meeting has been held at department of Health services (DoHS) on 5th of February 2024, chaired by Dr Shrawan Kumar Thapa, Director, DoHS. A detail project progress along with the preliminary findings of survey has been presented by the team of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Few comments has been received as below:

  • Data Validation of COVID supply chain survey through the documents of PHLMC and Central.
  • It is advised to consider oxygen concentrator while analyzing functionality status.
  • It is advised to recommend the equipment decommissioning under the case of old model, non- repairable etc.

4. Fourth Technical working group meeting- The Fourth TWG meeting has been held at department of Health services (DoHS) on 7th of March 2024, chaired by Dr Shrawan Kumar Thapa, Director, DoHS. A detail project progress along with the dissemination workshop planning and survey findings of Sudurpaschim province has been presented by the team of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in JV with Zenith Surgical and Services Pvt. Ltd. The output of the meeting is as below:

  • The dissemination workshop date for all provinces has been finalized.
  • The tentative schedule for the workshop has been finalized.
  • It is advised to deliver the findings of survey by the team of lifeline in the workshop.

5. Fifth Technical working group meeting- The Fifth TWG meeting has been held at department of Health services (DoHS) on 25th of March 2024, chaired by Dr Shrawan Kumar Thapa, Director, DoHS. A detail project progress along with the feedback of dissemination workshop of Sudurpaschim province and survey findings of all remaining provinces has been presented by the team of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in JV with Zenith Surgical and Services Pvt. Ltd. The output of the meeting is as below:

  • The dissemination workshop date for remaining provinces has been finalized.
  • It was advised to make few changes in the presentation slides as per the feedback of Sudurpaschim workshop.

6. Sixth Technical working group meeting- The Sixth TWG meeting has been held at department of Health services (DoHS) on 22nd of April 2024, chaired by Dr Shrawan Kumar Thapa, Director, DoHS. A detail project progress along with the feedback of dissemination workshop of all provinces and survey findings of federal hospitals of Bagmati Province along with aggregate findings of overall surveyed hospitals has been presented by the team of Lifeline Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in JV with Zenith Surgical and Services Pvt. Ltd. The output of the meeting is as below:

  • The dissemination workshop date for federal has been discussed.
  • The participants for federal workshop have been listed.
  • The workshop schedule for federal has been revised.
